QLC Moot Society

The Quaid-e-Azam law college Moot Society is geared towards providing the law students with an opportunity for developing and polishing skills which would prove useful throughout their professional careers. It is also an effort to promote a culture of mooting in Pakistan, and supplementing legal education through simulated court room environment. Moot Court is a simulated court proceeding in which participants draft briefs (or memorials) and present oral arguments. Studying the law, learning how to interpret it and applying it to given facts is only part of what constitutes the legal profession. A large portion of it involves advocacy in the form of representation in front of a state authority, such as the Supreme Court. It is important for students of law to acquire a familiarity with the courtroom and court processes during Quaid-e-Azam Law College, Lahore LLB education. Quaid-e-Azam Law College focus on subjects such as Public International Law, International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Trade Law, Admiralty Law or International Maritime Law, International Commercial Arbitration. Procedural issues pertaining to jurisdiction and choice of law are also occasionally engaged, especially in the arbitration Moots. “Legal education with a difference.”
